Coaching Ambition: I would like to inspire and help kids reach their dreams and thus accomplishing mine of creating individuals that can also inspire others. I truly believe that we have in our country very talented juniors, who will make our country proud. It is these age groups where I believe I can offer great help and direction, due to my experiences not only here but overseas.
Favorite Coach: Juan Ramon Carrasco (Uruguay and River Plate from Uruguay), Luis Cesar Menotti (Argentina World Cup Champion) and most recently Guus Hidink for what he achieved with 2006 Australian Side, He clearly showed that we have the goods.
The person I most admire in football: is Obdulio Varela from Uruguay “el negro jefe which translates to the black chief” Obdulio led Uruguay against all odds and 200,000 Brasilians in the Maracana stadium to a memorable victory that Uruguayans still and, will always be remember by young, old and past down to all generations. Although I was only a twinkle in my parents eyes, the stories I have heard, the footage I have seen, the books I have read and, last but not least, to hear him speak, clearly illustrated to me what it takes to be not only successful in Futbol but in life as a great human being. He inspired a nation and although recently passed, he continues to inspire.
From a local Scene one can’t go past Johnny Warren as I believe he was Australia’s answer to their very own “Negro Jefe” and will continue to inspire generations to come.
